Thank you for purchasing the Home Business Planner! I have no doubt it will keep many aspects of your business organized. To ensure proper use and understanding of the planner, please read through this brief guide.
In order to track your income, expenses and tax on a monthly basis, you’ll need more than just the single sheet I provided of the weekly or monthly tracker. You can easily duplicate either one by right clicking on the tab and selecting Move or Copy, as shown:
Then, in the next box that pops up, make sure you select the page before the one you wish to copy, so the new page will appear in front, and not behind, it. Also, make sure the bottom check box is selected:
You can do this as many times as needed, and you can rename the tabs by what month you’re tracking.
*Tip: Do not wait all year or even a few months to try to organize your accounting! Stay committed and do the job each month, by taking some time to print out your tracker and all invoices and/or other proofs of your record. Three hole punch and put them in a binder for your tax guy!
CREATING MORE SPACE
Currently the planner has six rows for keeping track of your income and losses. If you find you need more, you can certainly add some! Simply select the entire row you want to add a new row beneath. Then, right click and click Insert, as show below:
Next, a dialogue box will appear with four options. Choose the Shift cells down option (which may be automatically selected). Hit OK and you’re good to go! Do this as many times as needed.
Most of the pages in the Planner are already sized to fit perfectly on one page for printing. You’ll know by seeing a preview of the page before it prints in Excel, but here’s the breakdown just in case:
Formatted for printing:
- Monthly Income Tracker
- Year End Goals
- Password Tracker
- Business Goals
- Product Sale Trackers
- Weekly Income Tracker
In order to print the Weekly Income Tracker on one page, you will need to select the entire contents of the page, from top to bottom, as shown:
After, select the File tab at the top left of Excel and choose Print from the options panel. In the Settings section, choose Print Selection. The entire page will then appear on the preview to be printed! If all the lines don’t show on the preview, that’s OK. They’ll still be printed.
